I started #CADModelOfTheDay project on November 8th 2019 to sharpen my skills. The project ended on November 11, 2022 after 1100 consecutive days of posting. Thank you to everyone who followed this incredible journey!
#CADModelOfTheDay 001
Hey Everyone! Today is my birthday and I wouldn’t want anything more than to start a new project! So here it is! #CADModelOfTheDay
As the name implies, I will model something new everyday for the foreseeable future. The results will then be posted to Twitter, YouTube community posts and of course instagram! So for the first day, I have something that’s been floating around (heh), a balloon! I modeled it using revolves for the main features, freeform for the wrinkly knot of the balloon, and then produced a simple animation using the new flexible components function in SW2020.
Let Me know what you think! #CADModelOfTheDay#CAD#solidworks

My #CADModelOfTheDay for Day 2 is a Dumbbell! Simple extrudes with draft made most features, the heads were then circ. patterned (not mirrored) to prevent handedness, finally the knurled grip was made using 3D Texture feature. #solidworks #cad #3d #3dmodeling #dumbbell
#CADModelOfTheDay 003
Day 3 of #CADModelOfTheDay is a shampoo bottle! Swept surface features created most of the body, Split command separated the bottle and the cap, Boundary boss and thread tool created the interface. #solidworks #cad #3d #3dmodeling
#CADModelOfTheDay 004
Day 4 of #CADModelOfTheDay is a super shroom! Couple of revolves make the body, the eyes are done with the Dome feature, and the white spots are accomplished with the Wrap feature set to scribe. #solidworks #3D #CAD #3Dmodeling #mario #supermario #mushroom

Day 5 of #CADModelOfTheDay is a siren! I was playing around with animations and the PhotoView360 Renderer and got this! But why is it is going off? #solidworks #cad #3D #3dmodeling #everyday

Today’s #CADModelOfTheDay is a Peanut Butter Cup! This was deceptively challenging to get the subtle breaking of the edges and to get it to blend together properly. This was a fun (and delicious) one for Day 6! #solidworks #cad #3d #3dmodeling #everyday

My brother and I just got this amazing synth in the mail yesterday! Day 7 of #CADModelOfTheDay is the #TeenageEngineering OP-1. It’s beautiful minimalist design challenged me to use body manipulations in order to model it quickly. #solidworks #cad #3d #3dmodeling #synth #music

Keep perfect time with the #CADModelOfTheDay for Day 8, a metronome! This time I played around with the motion blur setting when I rendered the #animation. It was also good practice for weldments and sheet metal! #solidworks #cad #3d #3dmodeling #render #metronome #music

As you can see, this robot is very excited to see you as my #CADModelOfTheDay (Day9)! I remodeled specifically to #animate based on an existing design by @danielleboyerr (wish her a happy bday!) I’ve always wanted to try a cartoon style animation! #solidworks #cad #3d #render
#CADModelOfTheDay 010
hooman has modeled #doggo treat. but ifs i change da draft angle from 5° to 10°, we makes 30% more treats for all de good doggos. Wut? I m good engineer! #CADModelOfTheDay Day 10 #solidworks #cad #render #3d #3dmodeling #everyday #engineering #dog
